Department: Family Medicine Clinic FRPS | Reports To: Clinic Manager-Occupational Health

Summary:

The Clinic Coordinator will assist the clinic manager in supervising the day-to-day clinic services provided in the physician clinics to ensure the highest quality patient care is maintained, at all times. Assist the clinic manager with day-to-day scheduling of clinic staff; coordination and scheduling of patient visits; routine clinic operations; office communications, including patient and staff interaction and problem-solving activities.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Demonstrate the ability to appropriately modify approach and procedures to meet the needs of age and diversity of populations served.

2.Participate in the design, development and implementation of standardized clinical policies, procedures and processes to facilitate ongoing process improvement within the clinic environment as well as ensuring that clinical staff are compliant with policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations (e.g. HIPPA, corporate compliance, safety, etc.).

3.Assist in the hiring, training and orientation of clinical staff.

4.Create and maintain a professional practice environment.

5.Consistently apply effective teambuilding, leadership skills, and effective utilization of efficient organizational skills.

6.Ability to perform all duties in high-pressure situations and maintain a positive mental attitude.

7.Ensure adequate and current inventories of clinical supplies.

8.Consistently demonstrates excellent customer service skills, at all times, and facilitates excellent customer service skills for all clinical staff members.

9.Demonstrate ability to learn and utilize the use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient clinic operations as well as maintaining efficient computer skills.



  1. Identify suggestions for improving services, working relationships and the work environment through appropriate channels.

  2. Consistently work in a cooperative and proactive manner with others to facilitate resolution of identified opportunities for clinical process improvement.

  3. Consistently provide follow-through and accountability for process improvement activities in collaboration with the Clinic Manager.

  4. Plans for and implements changes as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day routine business operations.

  5. Ensures timely, ongoing, open and honest communication with administration, physicians, employees and patients while applying effective conflict resolution skills and working with staff to resolve interpersonal conflicts.

  6. Ensure that appropriate coding, charging, dictation and record maintenance occur in a timely and efficient manner.


Hours will be dependent on patient census and workload. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, to include after-hours and weekends as necessary.

EDUCATION:

GED or High School Diploma preferred.

Previous Experience Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:

Previous clinical experience preferred.

Previous healthcare experience preferred.
