• St. Luke's Cardiology is the first and largest cardiology practice in Cedar Rapids and joined St. Luke's Hospital in 2010. We formed this doctor-hospital partnership to better serve our community. This enables us to coordinate care better and focus on increasing quality and reducing the cost of healthcare.

• Cedar Rapids Heart & Vascular Institute encompasses the heart care specialists and services of St. Luke's Hospital, St. Luke's Cardiology, and the cardiovascular surgeons. • Established team of 15 physicians and 8 Advanced Practitioners

• Established practice serving the Cedar Rapids community, and satellite outreach clinics in Anamosa, Manchester, and 3 other communities.

• Diverse practice covers sub-specialization in interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, peripheral vascular and electrophysiology.

• Part of a large multi-specialty group, including primary care, providing a built-in referral base.

• Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community

• Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access

• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

• Ability to practice with imaging/CT/MRI with General Cardiology

• Clinic hours: M-F 830AM-5PM

• Shared call amongst the providers

• Practice is a mix of inpatient and outpatient

• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve

• Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care

• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment

• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• MD or DO

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology

• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa

• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice

• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
