Landmark Hospital of Joplin Missouri has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Pulmonary) to join our dedicated and professional team. Landmark Hospitals are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to those we serve.
Provide pulmonary healthcare services typically performed by a physician, under the supervision of a physician. Conduct complete physicals, provide treatment, and counsel patients. May, in some cases, prescribe medication. Works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high level pulmonary and critical care for the patient.
In collaboration with the physician, determines the course of care and treatment
Ensures that specific patient outcomes are achieved and that variances are evaluated and addressed in collaboration with members of the healthcare team
Demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical/technical competence, and sound clinical judgment.
Professional communication skills, and timely and compliant documentation
Responsible for professional development and competency validation.
Strictly follows isolation and infection control procedures
Bachelor's degree from an accredited program. Nurse Practitioner
Physician Assistant - certification
Minimum 1-3 years of critical care experience
Knowledge of critical care hemodynamic monitoring and mechanical ventilation/respiratory physiology.
Experience with arterial and central line placement monitoring
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients/families, as well as staff and physicians.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
LTAC/Acute Care Hospital experience strongly preferred.
Ability to maintain quality control standards
