Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants is recruiting a Cardiology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in Carbondale, IL. Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System.

Position Requirements

  • Unrestrictive Illinois license prior to start

  • Board Certified

  • Experience in Cardiology is preferred

Position Details

  • Option of a 5 day or 4 day per weekly schedule

  • Rotating call with 4 weekends per year required.

  • Main position will be based in Carbondale with outpatient clinic as well as inpatient rounds

  • Clinic will be a combination of general cardiology and structural cardiology. Inpatient rounds will be post-op on structural cardiology.

  • Outreach to Marion, IL clinic will be required.

  • EPIC EMR

  • Strong support staff available

Compensation & Benefits Package

  • Base guarantee

Qualifications

Education

Master's degree in biomedical science, psychology or related field is required

Bachelor's degree in biomedical science, psychology or related field PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Licensed Physician Assistant in the state of practice is required

Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required

Physician Assistant Certification is required

DEA license is preferred
