The Cardiothoracic Surgical Physician Assistant provides medical and surgical care in the division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Pediatric Service for Westchester Medical Center. General responsibilities include examining patients, formulating diagnoses and developing a treatment plan for patients, performing technical, clinical and surgical procedures, documenting patient progress and surgical care. In addition, the CT-Physician Assistant will perform saphenous vein harvests, place and remove chest tubes and catheters, intubate and extubate patients and place and remove central lines and arterial lines.


Graduation from an accredited PA School.


Three years of experience as a licensed Physician Assistant where the primary function of the position was providing medical care to patients, two years of which must have been in a cardiothoracic surgical setting and/or Pediatrics.


License and current registration issued by the New York State Education Department as a Physician Assistant.

Just north of New York City! WMCHealth is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the division of Gynecologic Oncology at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. This is a unique specialty where we offer complex gynecologic surgeries and manage adjuvant therapies (chemotherapy, targeted therapy and radiation). Our division includes radical pelvic surgery both via minimally invasive routes and traditional open surgery. We have an infusion center on site and radiation oncology services including brachytherapy. There is an active clinical trial program and we expect that the entire clinical team participate in recruitment and management of patients on therapeutic trials. Responsibilities will include seeing patients in the outpatient office, both with attending physicians and independently, management of patients receiving chemotherapy on site, following up on patient labs and diagnostic imaging, and post-operative care. The PA will have the opportunity to become proficient in gynecologic outpatient procedures such as colposcopy and biopsies of the cervix, endometrium and vulva. Additionally the PA will be involved in survivorship care and palliative care as it applies to the gynecologic oncology patient. The ideal candidate has a background in Women's Health or Oncology; however it is not a necessity. New graduates are also encouraged to apply.
