Physician Assistant - Vascular, Full Time

Valley Health Systems, Inc., the parent company of Holyoke Medical Center (HMC), provides a broad range of physician services in offices conveniently located throughout Western Massachusetts. The Vascular Center at HMC offers complete, leading edge care from medical management, endovascular therapies, to open surgical options for arterial disease. In addition, we have an in-office vein center to treat many venous conditions in a pleasant outpatient setting.

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Vascular team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various functions including first assisting in the operating room, rounding, bedside procedures, consults, and the ambulatory clinic.

Duties include:

• Perform daily patient rounds and implement therapeutic intervention

• Exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation

• Perform H&P and discharge summary for patients

• Ordering diagnostic studies as part of the clinical treatment plan

• First assist the vascular surgeon in the OR

• Perform and assist with bedside procedures

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting

REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program; current Physician Assistant Licensure in Massachusetts; current NCCPA certification;
