Physician Assistant for Orthopaedic Total Joint Replacement surgeon will assist surgeon with clinic, organizing visits and independently performing clinic procedures or visits, act as first assist in the operating room, answer pages and round on post-operative patients on a daily and PRN basis if needed. PA will be responsible for managing care of outpatients post-operatively or for non-operative hip and knee conditions, answering telephone inquiries and filling prescriptions. PA must have a high level of expertise to perform assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential problems of patients and skills for ongoing clinical management of the patient.

Master's degree in Physician Assistant or related field of study
PA Certified in the State of Arkansas (or eligibility for certification).
Certified as a Physicians Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
Must be able to operate all typical clinical equipment essential to performing the job (i.e., scales, procedure equipment, needles, blood pressure equipment, surgical instruments and EKG machines).
Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions when indicated
Two (2) years experience and Physician Assistant in Orthopaedic Total Joint Replacement required.
Specialty Certification Preferred
Preferred experience in orthopaedic treatment setting
Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire
