We are seeking qualified candidates for Physician Assistant for our Medical Center location. The Physician Assistant provides support to our physicians and optimizes surgical patient flow both in the office and in the hospitals.
The Physician Assistant performs pre- and post-operative visits, office visits and assessments, and assists in the operating room/angio suite. The ideal candidate should be familiar with non-invasive testing techniques: carotid duplex, vein mapping, and arterial Doppler studies.
The PA will establish medical diagnosis, determine a plan of care, and order and interpret routine diagnostic studies. Further duties include performing therapeutic/corrective measures, ordering prescriptions , providing patient counseling, and documenting visits in EMR, including ICD and CPT codes for billing. The PA will provide weekend call coverage once per month.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position, be licensed as a Physician Assistant with the State of Texas, and have current NCCPA and ACLS certification.
