Title: Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Surgery
Reports to: Lead PA
Location - onsite/hybrid: Onsite
Hours: Monday-Friday; 40 hours per week

What you'll do: The Physician Assistant will work closely with our orthopedic surgeons. This well-regarded practice is committed to superior clinical outcomes and provides a highly collegial and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities/Duties:
First assists in all surgeries with attending physicians
Works closely with a team of 15 fellowship trained orthopedists
Rotates through Northwell Health System, St. Francis Hospital and Winthrop Hospital and affiliated ASC
Assures all films, x-rays, MRIs, etc. are up on monitors prior to surgeries
Coordinates discharge and informs patient and family of the necessary post-discharge care instructions
Coverage in our orthopedic urgent care
5-day work week (no weekends or evenings)
No call requirement
CME allowance

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Master's degree
New York PA license
NCCPA Certified
DEA license
Minimum one-year surgical experience preferred; new grads are invited to apply with an orthopedic surgery rotation
Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
