Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute

• Vascular Surgery Team is seeking a Vascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice.

• Full-time position. You will work four 10 hours days.

• Inpatient/outpatient position.

• Rotating supervision and evaluation of hyperbaric oxygen therapy patients.

• Position includes weekend rounding approximately every 6-7th weekend (Saturday and Sunday). There is no weekday or weeknight call.

• Team includes 7 Vascular Surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Providers.

• EMR: Epic is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities:

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments.

• Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.

• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.

• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.

• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree

• Completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.

Preferred Qualifications :

• New graduates may be considered. Minimum 2 years of experience in surgery or vascular.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certification as a Physician Assistant

• NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire.

• Licensed Registered Nurse

• MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates).

• Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).

• BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.

• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.

• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
