MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assures personal compliance with licensing, certification and accrediting bodies.

Evaluates and treats Center patients in accordance with Concentra's medical model. Establishes and monitors appropriate level of care for center patients. Completes all medical record documentation prior to end of shift.

Works with Center Medical Director to ensure operations are consistent with medical and professional standards of care, Association and Concentra. Recommends potential growth opportunities for new or existing services within the Center. Meets with Concentra's Medical Director or designate to discuss quality of patient care, review policies, procedures, outcomes reports, and records.

Participates in quality management processes including encouragement of clinical support staff to assure proficiency in the delivery of clinical support activities. Calls client representatives following employee treatment for initial injury and/or at any significant change in status. Calls patients to ensure their well-being as needed following center visits. In the absence of Center Medical Director, provides guidance to other medical personnel and center colleagues.



  • Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program - OR - Graduate of an accredited PA program or an accredited university

  • Procedural skill are a plus

  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a primary care specialty and/or occupational medicine

VIEW JOBS 5/1/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-07-30T00:00 Job Description: This position reports to and assists the Director of SALC in the overall coordination and implementation of Springfield Adult Learning Center (SALC) services which includes Adult Basic Education (ABE), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and other ABE/ESOL grant funded programing related to ABE/ESOL educational and career goals to obtain HiSET credentials, basic academic education, college/ career exploration, credentials, computer use skills, employment and career pathway options available to them at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) and throughout the community at large. Duties will include: * Working with the Director and the SALC team with program planning, student assessments, curriculum and lesson plan review, staff recruitment, staff supervision, student record keeping, data entry, student recruitment and quality improvement efforts to enhance the program's commitment to provide quality and student centered services. * The Assistant Director of SALC will collaborate with the Director of SALC and senior management team in working together, sharing responsibilities for problem-solving and making decisions to formulate and carry out plans and activities that promote and sustain student learning. Professional communication, collaboration, teamwork, and staff leadership/supervision are essential skills for the Assistant Director of SALC who will promote a learning environment that fosters good communication and cohesiveness with students, fellow colleagues and community partners. * With the diverse population of the Greater Springfield region, the Assistant Director of SALC is expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to the value of working with students, faculty and staff that reflect the community. The Assistant Director and Program Director will work together with faculty, staff and collaborative partners to create an atmosphere of trust and respect in which all can succeed. Job responsibilities include: * Supervises Hampden Prep Staff (2 advisors and 2 instructors), DESE grant funded advisor, Intake Specialist, Day Advisor and Evening Advisor; provides evaluation/feedback, creates expectations, and provides follow up for continuous improvement. * Coordinates and oversees the process of recruitment, assessment, and enrollment of prospective adult students. * Evaluates materials, program design, curricula, and activities for programming and community events. * Maintains budget oversight of Hampden Prep and DESE funded programs in conjunction with the Director of SALC. * Determines SALC programming schedules with Director of SALC, and coordinates teaching assignments and room assignments to ensure optimum use of buildings and equipment. * Reviews registration, attendance, completion, and student progress statistics to improve program practices and maintains master data documents. * Manages, staffs and conducts data entry including but not limited to enrollment, attendance, yearly data close out, data corrections, staff professional development, student assessment identification lists, student contact information with accuracy and in a timely manner. * Assists with designing or using assessments to monitor student-learning outcomes, works collaboratively to develop next steps for students moving to a higher level, taking a high school equivalency exam, and/or enrolling in college. * Promotes STCC by participating in college, community, state, and national events or meetings, and by developing partnerships with industry and secondary education institutions. * Consults with grant funder regulations to ensure SALC is complying with Department of Elementary and Secondary Education standards, and other grant standards as needed. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements: * Bachelors' degree in Education, Administration or related field required, Master's degree preferred. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Supervisory and management experience. * Experience with grant writing, reporting, and compliance. * Experience and understanding of working with and recruiting a diverse population. * Excellent organizational skills; project management skills, strong leadership skills; commitment to professional and program development. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications. Preferred But Not Required Experience: * Datatel, data management, data entry experience. * Two (2) years' experience working in an ABE/ESOL program. * Experience with learner-centered teaching and contextualized curriculum. * Familiarity with curriculum development, college and workforce development programming. * Familiarity with Hampden County organizations: ABE, ESOL and workforce training network. (e.g. MassHire Career Centers, Transformation Agenda MCCWDTA, ABE/ESOL programs.) * Experience with Massachusetts' DESE-ACLS program guidelines, performance indicators, College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS), LACES database and WIOA legislation. Working Conditions/Physical Demands * Working in an office setting. * The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a stationary position. * The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files cabinets, office machinery etc. Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery i.e. calculator, copier etc. Additional Information: SALARY: $58,000 - $62,000 Temporary One (1) year position in contingent possibility of a renewal BENEFITS: Yes - State funded POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Non Unit Professional WORK SCHEDULE: 37.5 hrs. per week. Work schedule will Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; Tuesday and Thursday; 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm; and participation in planned community events related to SALC programs as needed. This is a Temporary one (1) year position GRANT FUNDED: Yes. Funded through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE - ACLS) on an annual basis, CALC and Mass Gaming Commission. Continuation of the grants are expected, but not guaranteed. So continued employment is contingent upon the continuation of grant funding.
