A leader in high-tech computerized diagnostic and treatment methods, the Weill Cornell Medicine Brain and Spine team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital treats the full spectrum of neurological disease - from brain tumors, spine tumors; stroke, aneurysms and cerebrovascular disorders and epilepsy to Parkinson's disease, MS, and other movement disorders. As a Neurosurgery PA at NYP Queens Hospital, you will manage all aspects of care for patients on the neurosurgical team, including floor management of complex inpatients, responding to neurosurgical emergencies including trauma and stroke, and first assisting in the OR. The position is to work with a TEAM OF PHYSICIANS ASSISTANTS AND NO RESIDENTS. This is Full-Time, 37.5 hours a week opportunity. This position will be three 12 Hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM with one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month. This is a hospital based position.

Preferred Criteria:

• Neurosurgical experience preferred

Required Criteria:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies

• Current NYS licensure

• NCCPA certification

• DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) registration number

• ACLS/BLS
