We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join a well-respected hospital in Baytown, Texas. Baytown is is located between Houston and Beaumont and offers quiet country living with direct access to the larger cities (Houston and Beaumont). Access to the Gulf Coast and numerous lakes and wild life areas is a short distance away offering relaxation, hunting, fishing, and great beaches.
The Physician Assistant we are seeking would see a variety of patients from babies through geriatrics, including some nursing home patients. As a member of the Active Medical Staff, the duties will include outpatient clinic patients, inpatients, and some ER patients. The hospital is very active and continuously seeks new patients, promotes services, and accepts ideas and suggestions to continue our growth.
We are a well-diversified healthcare system with a full array of services including CLIA Laboratory, Imaging, Therapy, and we have a professional and courteous clinic staff. Other healthcare services are immediately available at the hospital, such as 24-hour radiology, 24-hour lab, therapy, and other services. The clinics currently have the following: 4-Family Practice physicians, and 4-physician assistants.
We are looking for: a full time, permanent, physician assistant to work in the clinic with inpatient and emergency room opportunities. 80-85% of duties will be in the outpatient clinic setting. If an offer was to be made, it would be contingent upon the following: 1. Contingent upon obtaining Medical Staff privileges and hospital Board and CCHC Board approval. 2.
Contingent upon physicians assistant being licensed by the State of Texas. 3. Contingent upon establishing and maintaining a permanent, personal residence in or near the community. BENEFITS: 1.
Full Time Employment-Office Space, Personnel and Equipment Supplied. 2. Professional Liability / Malpractice Insurance. 3. Annual Leave Paid Time Off Days-PTO (Covers-Vacations, Sick, Holiday, CME). 4.
Annual Base Salary - $95,000 to $120,000+ - depending on experience [Negotiable]. 5. 75% of professional fee collections on PAs inpatients. 6. Participation in the Retirement Plan. 7. Health, Dental and Vision Insurance for physician assistant and immediate family. 8.
Life Insurance for the physician assistant. 9. Up to $2,500 for licensure renewals and reasonable CME expenses per year. This location also qualifies for Loan Repayment through the National Health Services Corp and would pay up to $50,000 ($25,000 per year) for a two year commitment directly to the Providers student loans. As part of our professional team of clinicians, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of the patients in the dialysis center. If you haven't considered Healthcare before, read on as we think that you should. Healthcare Experience is NOT required. What you can expect: * 1:1 Patient Care. Spending the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Our PCTs care for up to 4 patients at a time. * Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. * Team. Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of a RN. * Technician Duties. To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles. * Schedule. Shifts can begin as early as 4:45 am. Typically working 12 hour shifts, 3 days/week. Clinics are closed on Sundays, and may be open on some holidays.
