Title: Physical Therapy Technician
Reports to: Physical Therapy Manager
Hours: 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday)

Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Technician to join our team in our Westbrook, CT location. We are a growing practice with ample opportunity for career growth. Competitive salary and sign-on bonus offered.
What you'll do:
Channel your expertise as a Physical Therapy Technician and allow your keen attention to detail shine as you take on this important role. This position plays a key role in the efficient and effective clinical operations of the practice. Responsibilities/Duties:
Assist in escorting patients to treatment areas.
Observe patients during treatments and reports orally to the physical therapist.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises under the direction of the physical therapist.
Prepare the treatment areas for patient care.
Prepare modality treatments as supervised by the physical therapist including electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs, iontophoresis, BFRT and other modalities.
Keep treatment areas (tables, equipment, and gym area) clean and disinfected.
Keep machines clean and in working order and reports any problems in a timely manner.
Perform deep cleaning of equipment on a regular basis and necessary.
File exercise flowsheets as necessary.
Assist with orientation and training of new physical therapy technicians.
Perform supply inventory and unpacks/checks-in supply orders.
Keep supply closet in order and continually maintains a clean and safe work area.
Adhere to HIPAA/OSHA regulations.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Able to follow directions from physical and/or occupational therapists.
Experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic or personal training environment of at least 1 year is preferred.
