Providence is calling a Physical Therapy Assistant (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Benedictine Nursing Center in Mount Angel - Salem, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide skilled physical therapy to patients/clients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities, taking into account individual patient's special physical or age-related needs while under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
Require skills in patient/client treatment, as well as professional consultations to achieve maximum patient/client independence in accordance with individual's functional level and potential.
Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy Assistant licensure through the State of Oregon
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.(Renewal of AHA-BLS card every 2 years required)
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Driving record consistent with Safe Driving Policy 330 Incident Point Matrix at time of hire
In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position
Requires in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy, theory and practice and the legal ethical issues associated with them
