Providence is calling a Physical Therapy Assistant (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Benedictine Nursing Center in Mount Angel - Salem, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide skilled physical therapy to patients/clients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities, taking into account individual patient's special physical or age-related needs while under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

  • Require skills in patient/client treatment, as well as professional consultations to achieve maximum patient/client independence in accordance with individual's functional level and potential.

  • Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy

  • Physical Therapy Assistant licensure through the State of Oregon

  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.(Renewal of AHA-BLS card every 2 years required)

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

  • Driving record consistent with Safe Driving Policy 330 Incident Point Matrix at time of hire

  • In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position

  • Requires in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy, theory and practice and the legal ethical issues associated with them
