Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
This physical therapy position requires the responsibility of providing evaluations and treatment to a diverse patient population which can include orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric diagnosis. This clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic, and the Physical Therapists will work closely with occupational and speech therapists.
At times, there can be more focus on the neurological and geriatric populations. The Physical Therapists will diagnosis and manage these disorders, assist with recouperation of surgery, and help with regaining and maintaining function. This position requires close communication with primary care and specialty physicians, as well as other medical personnel.
The Physical Therapists will be required to establish a plan of care and ensure their patients are progressing. The Physical Therapists can include aquatic therapy in their treatment plan. Treatment can also include the utilization of different equipment and therapy techniques which can include but not be limited to electrotherapy, manual therapy, ultrasound, traction, therapeutic exercise, massage, dry needling, and/or blood flow restriction therapy.
Physical Therapists are also responsible for the supervision of treatments or parts of treatments delegated to support personnel.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:
This position is a designated as "Safety Sensitive Position" under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.
Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
PRE-HIRE QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy School/Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
Must be familiar with all up-to-date techniques and treatments covering the entire field of Physical Therapy (Internal medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation, pediatrics, geriatrics)
Licensed to practice Physical Therapy by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy Association
