Physical Therapist (PT), PRN/Weekend Premium Position at Northwest Health - Porter Hospital

About this role?

• Responsible for the evaluation of referred patients in the acute care setting including the assessment of their medical and physical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and their potential for rehabilitation.

• Will rely on experience and judgment to establish and administer a treatment plan of care with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity, tolerance, and, potential.

• May supervise physical therapy assistants, rehab techs, and students, and will work collaboratively with physicians, case managers and nursing staff.

Education:

• Requires a minimum of an entry-level Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy

• Preferred Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy

Certifications/Experience:

• Requires a minimum of an entry-level Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy

• Minimum of 1 years' experience in Physical Therapy is preferred, with at least 1 years' experience in a relevant clinical, Physical Therapy setting preferred

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Passing score on the APTA national exam, and an active Indiana License to practice Physical Therapy Additional certifications for specialty areas is desired, but not required

• CPR certification required within 6 months of hire

• Advanced certifications are preferred for specialty areas
