At Fairview Health Services, our Physical Therapists apply innovative approaches to treatment and rehabilitation of our patients. Physical Therapists are invited to work in an acute care environment where evidence based practices and a team approach restores patients to their highest level of function.
This per diem or casual position at Fairview Lakes Medical Center includes 1 or 2 weekends per month in an inpatient acute care setting. Populations include post surgical orthopedics, general medical surgical and ICU. Fairview Rehabilitation Services offers professional development opportunities including continuing education.
In collaboration with patients and families, the Physical Therapist responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.
Partnering with the patient and family while performing the evaluation/re-evaluation
Providing patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver
Maintaining an individualized plan of care, related to the patient's needs,
Continually reassess resource utilization as patient progresses towards goals
Providing safe and effective intervention, within scope of practice, according to patient needs
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy registration/licensure in the state of Minnesota.
