Job Details

We are seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat pediatric patients in the natural environment and in the Outpatient setting. This position will work during the week as needed, Monday through Friday.

Education and Requirements:

  • Graduate of an A.P.T.A. approved school of Physical Therapy

  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware

  • At least one year of concentrated pediatric experience preferred

VIEW JOBS 3/17/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-15T00:00 Job Details PRIMARY FUNCTION: To apply ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the physician. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Administers treatment or CT imaging with a Radiation Therapist II, through proper setup, positioning, machine preparation, and monitoring. * Keeps accurate documentation of treatment administration and CT imaging; concurs with Radiation Therapist II regarding treatment and/or CT imaging * Performs basic calculations, with assistance as necessary. * Prepares and maintains scheduling of treatments, imaging procedures, simulations, and other appointments as appropriate. * Accurately documents services rendered and charges appropriately * Provides daily care and monitoring of patient's treatment tolerance, making necessary referrals. * Observes all safety rules for patients and staff per National Regulatory Commission (NRC) * Observes all hospital and departmental policies and procedures. * Attends departmental meetings and in-services. * Fabricates custom blocks and molds as needed under the direction of a physician, dosimetrist, physicist, or Radiation Therapist II. * Cleans and maintains a clean and safe work environment. * Assists with maintenance of supplies. * Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and to provide the care needed. * Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors. * Performs other related duties as required. SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS: Frequent contact with nursing, clerical/support staff, physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, social workers, escort personnel, lab and Imaging Technologists, patients, and their families. Some contact with service personnel and maintenance staff.
