Centerpoint Outpatient Rehabilitation is searching for another excellent PT to join our top-notch Rehab team of over 15 PT, OT and SLP providers. We are consistently in the 99th percentile for employee and patient satisfaction. You will be working with an enthusiastic team of experienced therapists, many of whom have board specialties and advanced credentials in a fast paced 11,000 sq. ft. Outpatient Rehab Center.

Centerpoint Medical Center features 285 private rooms, state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and some of the latest clinical services available to patients. Along with our high-tech services, we also remain focused on providing compassionate care and the best possible customer service for our patients.

Centerpoint Medical Center features the following:

  • Level II Trauma Center (the only one in eastern Jackson County) with 24/7 Emergency Services.

  • An accredited Chest Pain Center and a variety of Cardiovascular Services

  • Orthopedic Services including Total Joints and Sports Medicine

  • An accredited Cancer Program and a state-of-the-art Breast Center with a nurse navigator

  • Neuroscience Services for the treatment of brain and spine disorders as well as injuries

  • Women's Services, including the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in eastern Jackson County to provide care for early or ill newborns and a labor and delivery unit

  • An Inpatient Rehabilitation Center featuring 16 private rooms and state-of-the-art equipment and rehab facilities.

  • Outpatient Services, including a surgery center, advanced wound care center, sleep disorders center, imaging, rehab and more.

Centerpoint Medical Center is currently looking for a Physical Therapist - Outpatient Rehab

Responsibilities:

  • The outpatient physical therapist functions as a member of the healthcare team.

  • The purpose is to provide medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the hospital in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital.

  • The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform to his/her maximum ability.

  • The Physical Therapist provides care for birth to pediatric, pediatric/child patients between 1 to 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.

  • The outpatient rehab services department provides outreach services and education for the community of which the physical therapist is an active participant in.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.

  • Missouri P.T. License, BLS.

  • Preference will be given to those that have additional certification or plan to achieve in one of the following areas:

  • APTA Board Certified Specialty (GCS, OCS, NCS, SCS)

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

  • Athletic Training Certification

  • Certified Spinal Manipulative Therapist or other certification as approved by Manager/Director

Responsibilities: * Under direct supervision of the Director or Manager, and close direction of a registered nurse, administers patient care and related activities, services and/or procedures to promote the physical and emotional health and personal comfort needs for assigned patients. * Delivery of patient care includes data collection, documentation, communication and implementation of patient care interventions in accordance with state Nursing Practice Acts and generic/unit structure standards. * The Patient Care Technician provides care for infants, pediatric and adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older. StarTech Certified Nurse Assistant Program (CNA) - FT Days and Nights Available The Star Tech program is a unique educational opportunity designed for licensed CNA's to meet the crucial needs of our patients and hospitals. When hired as a CNA/PCT, you will be able to go through a paid, 4-week orientation program that combines classroom interactive lectures, skills training, electronic health record training, skills practice and hands-on clinical training done at one of our HCA facilities. Upon completion, the licensed certified nursing assistants are equipped with the knowledge and skill set typically found in a more experienced certified nursing assistant.
