This position in San Jose, CA is with a beautifully appointed skilled nursing facility with over 150 beds, a state of the art rehab gymnasium, and the latest equipment. The focus of the caring staff is to provide caring services in the field of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and wound care to short-term patients.
We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate and caring individual to join this facility and the exceptional team of therapists on a full-time basis.
Your passion for working with Senior Adults and your physical therapy skills will enable you to provide direct patient care to individuals with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations. You will plan therapy programs under the direct supervision of the Rehab Director; direct and assist patients in exercises and use of wheelchairs and other devices, and evaluate patient progress. You will educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
License or Certification:
- Must be in possession of current state license or certification on or before the first day of employment.
- Successful completion of a degree from an accredited therapy program or one that is determined to be substantially equivalent to a U.S.
accredited program.
Function:
The position requires effective communication skills for working with patients, families, caregivers, and departmental and interdepartmental relationships.
Competency in physical therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment.
Task delegation and supervision of physical therapist assistants.
