Johnson Memorial Hospital a member of Trinity Health Of New England has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Per Diem Physical Therapist to join our mission-driven specialized Inpatient Rehab Team. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors.
The Physical Therapist will be working in an inpatient setting treating patients with varied diagnoses from neurological to medically complex orthopedic case. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with ongoing collaboration and communication with physicians, PAs, nurses and case managers.

You Will Be Responsible For:
Exceptional Patient Care: Evaluates, directs, plans and treats patients with a wide variety of disabilities to help clients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.
Excellent Communicator: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with clients, families and staff
Technical Familiarity: Develops and carries out a variety of techniques and modalities to provide individualized treatment appropriate to established goals. Modifies treatment plans and goals due to changes in client status and capabilities.
Active Teamwork: Maintains appropriate communication with treatment team, physicians, clients, and/or family members to facilitate problem solving, program planning and education. Provides appropriate information regarding client status to patient, family, treatment team and other professionals in a clear and concise manner.
Graduate of an APTA accredited school.
Current State of CT license.
Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
Experience: Knowledge of Neurological Physical Therapy Techniques Preferred
