Physical Therapist, Inpatient

Responsibilities

Under overall direction of the PM&R Manager and clinical supervision of the Lead Physical Therapist, the Staff Physical Therapist examines and evaluates patients and administers Physical Therapy interventions in collaboration with the referring physician. The Physical Therapist demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for and manage primarily adolescent, adult and geriatric age patients in an acute care or acute inpatient rehabilitation unit setting, may also include outpatient setting.

This inpatient position primarily supports the Joint Center same day replacemenet patients, the acute care setting and occasional ER consults.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am

Qualifications

Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (or related field if a more advanced degree in PT is held) required Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. This requirement is waived for individuals who were licensed prior to the requirement of the Doctorate Degree for licensure. preferred Over 1 year to 3 years experience as Physcial Therapist required Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (or related field if a more advanced degree in PT is held) preferred Licenses and Certifications:Physical Therapist

• Licensed, Upon hire, required

Basic Life Support (BLS), Within 2 weeks of hire, required
