Job Description:

Exciting opportunity for a Physical Therapist with experience and interest in Vestibular and Pelvic Floor!

  • Perform select evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to the diagnosis, age group and patients physical and emotional status and formulates appropriate treatment plans.

  • Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment and protocols.

  • Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines, adjusting the treatment plan

  • Adheres to department policy regarding time-frame, form and content of written evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries.

  • Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.

  • Completes all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.

Requirements

New graduate Physical Therapist required; one year experience in setting applied preferred. Experience with Pelvic Floor and Vesticular also preferred.

EDUCATION:

BS in Physical Therapy

CERTIFICATION:

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification required through one of the following entities:

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION

AMERICAN RED CROSS

MILITARY TRAINING NETWORK

LICENSURE:

Virginia state Physical Therapist Licensure Required SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer knowledge, proficient in English verbal and written skills

Watch this video to learn more about field employee career pathing:           Responsibilities for a PT - Physical Therapist include: * Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories. * Perform diagnostic tests and measurements, such as the mobility/range of joints, transfer status, stability, patterns and appearance of ambulation, strength and endurance of muscles, balance testing, and safety assessments. * Develop and implement appropriate individualized care plans, including manual therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and other interventions. * Continually assess and revise the Physical Therapy - PT care plan, and participate with nursing in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate. * Educate and instruct clients, family members, or other client representatives, in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety, and independent living. * Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to client care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet.
