Schedule: Would need to be available at least 4 shifts in a month, this is a per diem day-shift position need, any day during the week where there is staff needs.

The community you'll be caring for:

AdventHealth Parker is a Level II Trauma Center that serves our community by providing excellent, community-focused health care. Since we opened our doors in 2004, we have grown into a regional medical center.

In 2017, we received the designation of a Magnet Recognized Hospital. In 2018, we became one of the only five hospitals in the nation, and the only hospital in Colorado, to receive Joint Commission Certification for Bariatrics. We have 170 Licensed beds, 23 Emergency Department private rooms, and 13 surgical suites.

The role you'll contribute:

Responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic and other physically-related disorders requiring mobility training, strengthening, modalities, specialized manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education. Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of the patient. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Evaluates patients, presenting or referred to physical therapy, by completing initial evaluation within time standards per department protocol.

• Applies appropriate diagnostic and prognostic testing for musculoskeletal, neurological and neuromuscular conditions. Standardized testing will include special tests to determine level of disability and track outcomes over the patient care experience.

• Performs a variety of best practice and evidence based therapeutic interventions to address the unique rehabilitation needs of each patient. Establishes appropriate treatment plan with measurable and attainable goals and time frames by collaborating with patient, family and other members of the health care team including discharge planning. Selects and implements therapy activities per plan of care to ensure that patient, family and therapy goals are met.

• Recognizes individual limitations and capabilities and utilizes available resources.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

• Physical Therapist in state of employment, or Physical Therapist license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
