Bonus Description: $15,000 Sign-On Bonus

Relocation Package: Full

Relocation Assistance: The amount is negotiable based on relocation distance and comes with a 2-year work requirement (paid out within 30 days of receipt submission). If someone received both sign-on and relocation assistance, the total commitment would be for 2 years.

Must-Haves:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Graduate from a physical therapy curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy
  • Licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Idaho

Nice-To-Have:

  • Master's degree is preferred.

Job Description:

The position is to work in the brand-new Acute Rehab Unit.

Under the general direction of and upon physician referral, assess the functional needs of physically disabled patients, develop treatment goals, and plan and implement appropriate treatment plans utilizing a variety of physical therapy procedures.

The Physical Therapist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in their department. The individual must acquire and/or demonstrate an understanding of the principles of growth and development over the life span. They must be able to provide care while considering developmental status.

Primary (Essential) Duties:

  • Based on the patient's treatment diagnosis, Objectively and Quantifiably assess a baseline level of physical function for each patient referred. Such evaluations should include a baseline assessment of pertinent medical and onset history, cognitive function, sensory-perceptual-motor function, functional mobility, and pain control. This baseline information should adequately form the basis of treatment outcome goals.
  • Based on the patient's initial assessment, identify functional needs and establish appropriate treatment outcome goals. Such goals will be established as an expected outcome of the patient's treatment plan, expressed in measurable terms, and realistic and appropriate to the patient's condition.
  • Based upon the treatment outcome goals established for the patient, plan and implement treatment programs designed to achieve or significantly progress toward achieving the outcome goals. Treatment programs will be dynamic relative to the patient's clinical response and will reach a level of consistency and continuity that will enhance the patient's clinical response.

Hours:

  • Regular hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The schedule is based on department needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate from a physical therapy curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy
  • Licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Idaho
  • Current BLS
  • A Master's Degree is preferred.
