We are offering Physical Therapists who are not currently working for Providence or one of our affiliates a $5,000 sign on bonus to join our amazing nursing team! $2,500 on your first paycheck and $2,500 after 1 year of service. Repayment would be required based on a prorated amount if you do not complete the minimum retention requirement.
Providence is calling a Physical Therapist (Physical Therapy, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to float between clinical settings at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physical therapy under the prescription of a physician licensed in the State of Alaska
Communicate with team members and outside agencies to identify patient needs, changes, overall condition of patient, and determine future levels of care
Contact vendors for durable medical equipment needs
Assist in coordinating discharge plan
Document evaluation, plan, care delivered and outcomes according to hospital and department standards
Provide patient, family and community education
Demonstrate safe use and knowledge of equipment in home department
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's, Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Alaska
BLS required within 30 days of hire
