Our outpatient orthopedic physical therapy center in Fairbanks AK is looking for compassionate and driven licensed physical therapists to provide exceptional patient care experiences. This is a per diem opportunity for licensed physical therapists. All experience levels are WELCOME to apply as we DO have additional clinicians on staff to provide support and resources. We are OP ortho with a diverse population of teens through geriatrics. We provide multiple specialty services including pelvic health, oncology, vestibular/ balance, neuro and mild-mod complexity hand therapy on top of general orthopedics, industrial and sports medicine.

Medical benefits are unavailable for per diem clinicians, but we CAN discuss your participation with our local CEU accrediting courses once you are on board.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy

  • Valid State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients

  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift. Must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.

  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.

  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.

  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.

  • Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.

  • Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate reporting, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of electronic equipment.

  • Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.

Current Registered Nurse. * Direct experience/exposure to anticoagulation management, homecare or allied health is preferred * Health education training experience a definite plus * No lifting over 15 pounds required without assistance COMPETENCIES/ EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS * Completion of assigned educational prerequisites required * Proof of health screening documentation * Web based and interactive training provided by Acelis Connected Health * Successful completion of a consumer report (background check) and pre-employment drug screening * Computer and Smart Device proficiency * Proficient in basic website and application troubleshooting using smart device * Travel a minimum of 100 miles roundtrip required * Florida trainers only - there is an additional background step required for the state of Florida.
