Physical Therapist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate CT Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team to work within EASTCONN's Schools and/or public schools serviced by EASTCONN. This position is responsible for overseeing the financial administration for the agency's fiscal and budgetary processes, all agency fiscal functions including budget development, internal controls, and the fiscal administration of programs funded by state, federal, or other sources.

Full or part time positions available.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing physical therapy services to students with diverse needs, ensuring the highest quality of care and support. This role requires a deep understanding of pediatric physical therapy, the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and a passion for promoting the well-being and development of children.

Individuals experienced working with low incident populations are encouraged to apply (Autism, Multiple Disabilities, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve motor skills, mobility, and overall physical function.

• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to students' development.

• Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed and maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes.

• Provide guidance and support to teachers and caregivers, offering strategies to facilitate students' participation and engagement in school activities.

• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of education plans that address students' specific needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut state license to practice physical therapy.

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.

• Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy techniques and interventions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.

• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in pediatric physical therapy.
