Position Information:

The Physical Therapist Clinical Specialist provides physical therapy services by evaluating patients establishing and implementing effective treatment plans with functional treatment goals providing patient education and therapeutic intervention/activity programs and educating in use of assistive devices. Position is responsible for observing evaluating and documenting the results of treatment interventions and modifying age-appropriate treatment plan accordingly. The Clinical Specialist is responsible for identifying strengths and weaknesses and facilitate clinical excellence of staff therapists and assistants through education coaching mentoring and process development. In coordination with department leadership the Clinical Specialist provides input into departmental staff development program development standards of professional practice and clinical competence. The primary setting for this position is the 98 bed Rehab Hospital on the Raleigh campus and may be required to cover other areas of the WakeMed Rehab continuum as needed. Populations served include stroke spinal cord injury brain injury other neurological issues as well as post-surgical orthopedics multi-trauma and debility for both adult and pediatric populations.

Experience Requirements:

2 Years Clinical

• Physical Therapy Required

• And 1 Year Direct Position Experience Preferred

Education Required:

Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy Required

• And Master's Degree Physical Therapy Preferred

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

Licensed Physical Therapist Required

• And Maintain Vehicle Operator Insurability Preferred
