Under the direction of the Senior Director of Special Education, and under the clinical supervision of a licensed physical therapist, serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team to provide consultation and direct treatment services for pupils with disabling conditions; implement goals and objectives in the IEP and individual physical therapy intervention plans; and provide training to education personnel and parents.

Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Must possess or be eligible to obtain California State Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant; • One year of recent, full-time equivalent, supervised experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant for children with severe and physical disabilities, including pediatrics; • High school Education or GED or equivalent; • Associate of Arts degree in Physical Therapy Assistant; • Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver's License; • Provide proof of automobile insurance; • Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of fifty (50) pounds with assistance. BENEFITS Employees are provided with an insurance plan, which includes health, vision, and dental insurance for employee, spouse, and dependents, at a shared cost. Participation in this plan is mandatory for employees working 35 plus hours a week.
Employee will be a member of the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) to which both the employee and MCOE contribute. Employee may elect to be a member of the Mendocino County Federation of School Employees Union. MCOE does not participate in the Social Security system.
