Zayo is seeking a Physical Security Specialist to support the physical security operations of the organization. The role involves implementing and maintaining various security measures, such as access control systems, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.

Our Physical Security Specialist conducts security assessments, responds to incidents and emergencies, develops security policies and procedures, and conducts training sessions for employees. Additionally, the Physical Security Specialist role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services, investigating security incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.

• Conduct training sessions for employees on security awareness and emergency response procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of security incidents, activities, and equipment.

• Conduct drills and exercises to test and improve the effectiveness of security protocols.

• Respond to inquiries and requests from employees regarding security matters.

• Maintain a visible and proactive presence to deter and detect security threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in physical security operations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant security software.

• Knowledge of access control systems, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.

• Familiarity with industry best practices and standards in physical security.

• Understanding of security risk assessment methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Base Salary Range:

USD: $56,300 - $85,000

CAD: $60,750 - 81,000, commensurate with experience
