The Physical Security Operations Specialist is a member of UnitedHealth Group's (UHG) Corporate Security team. The Corporate Security group is responsible for the Workplace Security Program that ensures the protection of the company's global workforce and physical assets through security risk management platforms. The Physical Security Operations Specialist will be responsible for assisting in project execution, within an enterprise level security program, as it relates to contract guard force onboarding, management and oversight; data aggregation; incident reporting metrics and trend analysis; physical security compliance; access report requests; critical facility security orientations; safe and secure training initiatives; and special projects. This role will be based at UHG's Corporate Headquarters in Minnetonka, MN and will report into the Global Physical Security Operations team.

Candidates need to have experience identifying, collecting and analyzing data; identifying key risks within processes and project management, preferably within an international corporate security or business operations environment. This includes the development of metrics reporting, monitoring of operating procedures, validating visitor management requests and implementing new security compliance requirements. This role will also focus on the future integration of reporting metrics and analysis into an overall Corporate Security Operations Center.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support an enterprise level program responsible for integrating and maximizing the efficiency of current reporting systems and processes

  • Identify key risks within processes

  • Review, test and validate corporate security system processes

  • Implement security policies and standards related to access badge provisioning

  • Process the onboarding and administration of contract security personnel

  • Review video management systems and badge access reports to ensure compliance

  • Support critical facilities security and access regulatory audit reporting

  • Support visitor management protocols and ensure business compliance

  • In partnership with Corporate Security Communications team, assist in the development of employee training and awareness related to visitor management and site access programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree

  • Experience in compliance, audit and/or risk management fields

  • Experience with organizational, project management, change management and project execution skills

  • Knowledge in reporting and metrics development and/or aggregation

  • Business acumen with the ability to work collaboratively and align people

  • Experience dealing with moderate levels of ambiguity - effectively cope with change, shift gears comfortably and handle risk and uncertainty

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing assessment tools to validate compliance

  • Experience within a Security Operations Center

  • Knowledge of incident reporting metrics evaluation
