What You Will Do:
Address major facilities, construction policies, environmental considerations, and allocation of engineering resources in support of the client project and/or mission goals.
Propose natural and man-made obstacles intended to restrict or halt movement and that enhance the facilities overall security posture.
As necessary to meet larger design goals, recommend unobtrusive or visually appealing physical security solutions.
Analyze existing force protection capabilities and recommend areas requiring improvement to ensure protection.
Support infrastructure and compound construction by integrating security requirements into construction planning, construction execution, facility repairing, construction material bed down facilities/areas, and other related projects.
Enhance the survivability of the client's people and resources by recommending construction techniques in support of force protection measures (e.g., hardening of facilities and utilities).
Review transportation requirements (public, private), avenues of approach and traffic requirements (nearby highways, roads, access ramps, perimeter access paths, etc.) and suggest adequate security to protect guard forces and facilities without creating excessive traffic burdens.
Support responses to emergency/disaster incidents (damage due to natural or manmade events) involving client facilities, including those still under construction.
Assess damage and related structural security risks or vulnerabilities and make immediate recommendations aimed at securing the location or facility.
Conduct physical security and risk vulnerability inspections; accurately identify, evaluate, and provide recommendations to mitigate those identified risks.
Recommend and design/support the design of intrusion detection systems and CCTV systems.
Evaluate existing security standards and procedures.
Adjust security systems for multiple and, sometimes, conflicting requirements; the indoctrination and training of organization personnel in the need for observing security requirements.
Inspect, analyze, and evaluate security systems.
Institute inventory control procedures to assure that protected material is accounted for.
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance.
A minimum of 5 years of security experience.
A working knowledge and understanding of physical security-related Intelligence Community, DoD, NSSTiSAM, CNSS and CFR directives and standards.
Knowledge of high security automated and mechanical access control devices and systems.
Knowledge of state of the art intrusion detection systems to include the recommendation, design, and deployment of various intrusion detection devices.
Knowledge of state of the art CCTV systems to include camera types and placement, recording devices, system integration, and design layouts.
Knowledge of blast requirements/protection strategies for construction.
Must be able to partner with transportation experts to integrate sound security solutions based on best practices from across the U.S. Government.
