Must have been an advanced law enforcement official and have worked as a
safety official that has the knowledge and understanding of physical
sites/buildings and, work areas to identify safety issues and security risks.
Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
Duties:

This person will support a variety of security and real property assets
verification duties needed by the Agency for financial and employee H&S at our
admin sites. They will train and support existing employees that are working on
the asset system and help them locate and verify a variety of buildings on the
Forest as well as complete the assessments needed to assure financial health of
our records.

Has the needed knowledge to assess the physical security of buildings,
compounds and other occupied Federal Buildings to determine if they meet agency
and national standards for protection of our staff from unwanted and unwarranted
enter by third parties. Has the ability to assess existing facilities and make
recommendations for modifications or controls to improve security to meet
mandatory needs of the Agency. Experience in law enforcement is needed to be
effective at reviewing the buildings and their ability to repel unwanted
entry. 35%
Assure the existing building systems and practices of the staff using the
site is current with OSHA and other H&S needs the agency is required to meet
mandates for the agency. The employee needs to have time as a safety official
and the working knowledge of the programs related to safety of staff and public
in a federal workplace. 25%
Preforms condition surveys of buildings to assure the condition and systems
and physical parts of a buildings are operating in a safe and efficient manner
for all parties that use the site. Note and keep track of deficiencies so they
can be entered into 20%
Develop reports and present the findings to Forest Staff and leadership so
that the condition and recommendations for improving the site are clear and
concise for safety, physical security needs, and the overall condition of
building systems to ensure they are operational and to current standards if they
are not identifying the needed changes to bring them into compliance. 20%

Other:
Travel Requirements: Local day trips are needed and will require a driver's
license and the ability to drive Forest Service vehicles to remote locations in
the Umpqua National Forest.
Health and Safety Considerations: The person will be required to be familiar
with risk and mitigation needs to work in a heavy civil engineering work site
and wear appropriate PPE such as hard hats, hearing protection, heavy leather
boots, and gloves as needed.
Required Safety Gear: safety boots and hardhats
Safety Gear Use: When in areas that have the potential for overhead falling
items and as needed for access to remote buildings and locations.
Physical requirements: Demands range from sedentary work in an office
setting to the extreme range of physical exertion, such as walking on uneven,
rocky surfaces, bending, stooping, climbing, hiking on trails, and driving
all-wheel-drive vehicles on a job site. Reasonable accommodations may be made to
