Physical Plant Foreman

Position Summary:

Responsible for the operation, repair, and preventive maintenance of all primary physical plants. This includes chemical testing of water base systems to maintain regulatory and contractual compliance. Implements continuous energy efficiency of all Utility Plants.

Duties include:

• Enters and maintains operational data & logs into various computer software programs.

• Monitors/logs all medical gas systems each shift. Respond to all alarms and resolve accordingly. Also notify suppliers when product levels are low.

• Monitors/logs BAS information for alarms or environmental requirements to maintain hospital hvac standards.

• Coordinates all scheduled/unscheduled outages, or work that will affect environmental systems.

• Develops operational procedures with backup contingencies for assigned plant operations.

• Implements chemical testing programs for all assigned areas that need monitoring to maintain efficiency, and comply with regulatory standards.

Schedule varies. 12-Hour shift. Rotate weekends and on-call.

Position Qualification:

Education:

Certificate Required. One year certified from college or technical school.

Experience:

3-6 months Required. Three to six month related experience and/or training.

Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
