The Physical Medicine Virtualist is a crucial member of a collaborative, innovative, and energetic healthcare team which strives to deliver high-quality, individualized patient care over a digital platform, using asynchronous communications, conversion to synchronous care when necessary (video conferencing, telephone, etc), and partnerships with community networks and resources.
The Physical Medicine Virtualist will provide evidence-based care to promote an optimal patient experience. The Physical Medicine Virtualist will treat remote patients with a variety of conditions including low back pain, repetitive stress and athletic injuries. The Physical Medicine Virtualist will work both individually and as part of the greater health care team to optimize patient outcomes and clinic performance metrics.
The Physical Medicine Virtualist will provide patient-centered, comprehensive care as part of an integrated team.
At Crossover, you will:
Utilize advanced clinical reasoning and skills to evaluate and treat complex patient cases
Collaborate with the physical medicine rehab team (physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture) and the comprehensive care team (primary care, nursing, behavioral health, health coaching, care management, and care navigation optometry)
Effectively communicate with patients and health care team via asynchronous (digital episodes of care, secure messaging, chat, etc) and synchronous (video conferencing, telephone, etc)
Accurately document patient findings in shared electronic medical record
Incorporate objective data in managing patient cases through administering and evaluating standardized functional outcome measures
Develop new programs, classes, and processes to optimize the patient-care experience
Adhere to Code of Ethics and legal standards as defined by APTA

Doctorate of Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Chiropractic
Must be licensed in the state of Florida by the Physical Therapy Board of Florida with willingness to get licensed in other states (sponsored by employer)
Three or more years of clinical work experience (orthopedic and/or sports therapy experience preferred)
Ability to work on location with a care team at a designated clinical site 100% of the time. (This is not a remote position, only the patients are remote).
Experience with remote populations and virtualized care delivery preferred
Advanced clinical certification (ex: Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Sports Clinical Specialist, etc.) preferred
Exceptional clinical and interpersonal skills
BLS -- Basic Life Support
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent care over digital communication channels including video conferencing, telephone, secure messaging, chat-based communication, and asynchronous care.
Experience working with populations in remote geographies, including steerage into community networks and partnerships with local resources.
Proven comfort with a variety of technology platforms including Google suite, video conferencing software, CRMs, EMRs, etc.
