Physical Education/DAPE Teacher

Position Description: Delano Elementary School is seeking a passionate and creative Physical Education (PE) teacher to join our dedicated and caring elementary school community!

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote physical literacy, teamwork, and sportsmanship in grades Pre-K through 3.

• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel comfortable participating.

• Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.

• Foster a love for physical activity and healthy habits.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate movement into the curriculum.

You are a great fit if you have:

• A valid MN teaching license in Physical Education (or working towards one).

• Experience teaching PE in an elementary school setting (preferred).

• A special education DAPE license (preferred)

• A strong understanding of child development and movement patterns.

• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.

• A positive and enthusiastic attitude that motivates students to participate.

• The ability to create a fun and inclusive learning environment.

Licensure Requirements: MN K-12 Physical Education Teaching License; PreK-12 DAPE (Developmental Adapted Physical Education) license highly preferred
