New teaching/new licensed staff orientation will be held on July 24 & 25, 2024

Experience:

District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year K-12 teaching experience up to 20 years.

Work Schedule:

182 contracted work days

Salary:

The minimum starting pay is $47,004*/year and the maximum salary is $75,492*/year. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education and years of relevant experience (the maximum credit granted is 20 years).

• Salary is based on the 2023-2024 pay schedule and is subject to change.

Interviews are site-based and not conducted by the Human Resources office.

Qualifications and Expectations:

• BA/BS from accredited college or university

• Valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in area of assignment: Physical Education K-12 OR

• a valid CO licensed endorsed in another area AND passing exam scores PRAXIS - exam #5091 OR

• a valid CO license endorsed in another area and 36 or more semester hours in Physical Education or Health

• HR to review transcripts and make determination OR

• a valid CO license endorsed in another area and a BA/BS or higher major in Physical Education or Health

• HR to review transcripts and make determination
