Position Overview:
Harris County Universal Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physical Access Control Analyst with a strong background in analytics and expertise in role-based administration of access control media. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of pattern recognition and the ability to implement and manage robust physical access control systems. The Physical Access Control Analyst, play's a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's physical assets and ensuring the integrity of our security infrastructure.
Job Duties:
Support the day-to-day management of the access control component of the security system, ensuring seamless operation and reliability.
Maintain role-based access control policies to align with organizational security requirements.
Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of access controls and identify areas for improvement.
Respond promptly to access control related issues, responding to stakeholder requests, investigating, and documenting security breaches or policy violations.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of access control configurations, policies, and procedures.
Enforce role-based administration policies for access control media, ensuring that access permissions align with job responsibilities and security protocols.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of user access privileges based on organizational changes and security needs.
Leverage strong analytical skills to identify and analyze patterns and trends related to physical access control activities.
Competent with Boolean-logic based searches and report generation.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills when interacting with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
Provide clear and concise explanations of security policies and procedures, fostering a culture of security awareness.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of access control configurations, policies, and procedures.
Generate regular reports on access control system performance, analytics findings, and security incidents.

Must possess excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
The ability to interact with staff at all levels.
Strong KSA using personal computers and various software's, specifically Microsoft Office.
