If you are an experienced PHOTOMETRIC DESIGNER looking for a position with a leading company, Bartech can help! We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some over the nation's biggest companies. Our client has a need for a PHOTOMETRIC DESIGNER. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. PHOTOMETRIC DESIGNER

Job Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a PHOTOMETRIC DESIGNER will include:

  • Prepare detailed outdoor lighting point by point photometric layouts that meet customer requirements and deadlines.

  • Ensure designs comply with IES standards and local ordinances.

  • Maintain knowledge of product line including technical characteristics to produce effective lighting layouts.

  • Draft designs may be produced by others, but the incumbent is responsible for overall preparation, accuracy, review, and deadlines.

  • Work safely according to safety principles, procedures and standards.

PHOTOMETRIC DESIGNER

Job Requirements

As a PHOTOMETRIC DESIGNER you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • 3 years of drafting or technical experience.

  • Familiarity with lighting design software (i.e. AGI32, Visual, Litepro, etc.).

  • Possess valid driver's license.

  • Familiarity with outdoor lighting products, fixtures, poles, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and communicate with internal and external customers about their needs.

  • Self-directed and self-motivated team player.

  • Possess good interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.

  • Two year technical degree/certification.

  • Basic knowledge of utility electrical distribution system.

  • Ability to read and understand detailed project plans and visualize end product after construction.

  • Competent user of AGI32, Visual, Litepro, etc. (lighting design software).

  • Competent user of AutoCAD.

  • Knowledge of local lighting ordinances and IES standards.

  • Ability to create construction drawings for outdoor lighting products, fixtures, poles, etc.

  • Some travel may be required.
