Photographer/Videographer

Essential Function:

We are seeking a highly creative and driven Photographer to join our creative team. The Photographer will work with multiple teams on the Sally & Cosmo Prof divisions to shoot unique and engaging photos and videos for multiple channels. The candidate should be able to show a portfolio that demonstrates a variety of lighting styles, innovative compositions, and elevated product and beauty shots. Must be a team player and have the ability to multitask and adapt to sometimes rapidly changing priorities. This position is in the office 5 days a week.

Primary Duties:

• Produce images and videos in the studio at Sally Beauty Holdings Headquarters for signage, ecomm, social media, special events, and work onsite 5 days a week.

• Extensive knowledge of photography equipment and techniques.

• Strong technical aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented and ability to handle multiple competing priorities.

• Provide overarching support to creative team members as necessary

• Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills and experience.

• Shooting Stills and Video, product and beauty

• Retouching, Asset Management, File and Drive management

• Styling

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• BFA Photography or equivalent experience

• 8+ years of experience in product and beauty photography and video

• High proficiency in Photoshop, Capture One, and Premiere, and experience with medium formats

• Ability to effectively assess priorities and work well under tight deadlines

• Experience in Workfront and Digital Asset Management

• Ability to take complicated inputs and translate them into beautiful, graphic images and videos

• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, deadline driven

• Resourceful, adaptable, dependable, collaborative

• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task with accuracy, and working well under pressure to meet deadlines

• Must be able to handle critique diplomatically, turning feedback into edits that create stronger content

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements:

• The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

• The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
