Photographer/Videographer III

The Cincinnati Enquirer is seeking a senior visual journalist to join our award-winning visuals team.

The Cincinnati Enquirer is the winner of a Pulitzer Prize for local reporting in 2018. You'll work with and learn from some of journalism's best while living in a vibrant and diverse city in the heart of the Midwest.

The right candidate for this position will be a skilled visual storyteller, comfortable with all aspects of the daily news environment. They will be adept at video storytelling, with the ability to produce short news videos as well as in-depth pieces. In addition, this position also backs up the photo editor and coordinates visuals for major events, projects and day-to-day news coverage.

The senior photojournalist will be a self-starter, hungry to dive into the community, strong visual storytelling skills, the ability to collaborate with other journalists.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a professional photojournalist in a daily news environment, 5 years minimum experience.

• A bachelor's degree in journalism, photography or other relevant field, or relevant experience.

• A strong portfolio showcasing robust visual storytelling, including a variety of news, sports, features and enterprise stories, as well as video.

• Ability to multi-task and excel under intense deadline pressure in a rapidly changing environment.

• Proficiency using photo and video editing software including Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Photo Mechanic.

• Valid driver's license, a car and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.

• This is a full-time position that may include night and/or weekend shifts as well as travel assignments.
