The UHealth system at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a Photographer to work in our Marketing Department.

SUMMARY

The Photographer performs digital professional photography for all occasions and needs as established by the department and University. The incumbent also manipulates, edits, and repairs all photographic material taken inside or outside the University's premises. An employee in this position maintains and ensures the optimal functionality of photographic and printing equipment.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

1.Performs professional, original, and high-quality photography that is accurate, clear, and reproducible.

2.Develops, plans, and organizes the overall technical photographic aspects of assignments.

3.Collaborates with staff in charge of project substance.

4.Uses imagination and creativity to implement objectives within the capabilities and limitations of cameras and equipment.

5.Exercises limited control over the substance of events to be photographed by staging actions, suggesting behavior of the principals, and rehearsing activities before photographs are taken.

6.Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Associate Degree in relevant field

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
