ASR International Corporation has an immediate requirement for an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Photographer position working as part of our team providing services in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Office of Corporate Communication (SEA 00D).

NAVSEA SEA 00D supports the Command mission of designing, building, delivering and sustaining the U.S. Navy's ships, submarines and systems through its strategic communications efforts. Representing more than 86,000 employees geographically dispersed across more than 40 locations worldwide, SEA 00D is responsible for providing strategic guidance, planning and execution support for all enterprise-wide internal and external communication, including marketing requirements and legislative engagement. The office provides direct support and strategic advisement to the Commander on all communication matters.

Specific task areas and functions of SEA 00D support include general communications support (internal and external); multimedia planning, development and execution; website support; legislative support and analysis; and strategic communications and planning support.

Location/Place of Performance: Washington Navy Yard - Washington Navy Yard, DC 20376

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• Provide documentation, portrait photography, editing and printing services of events, observances and ceremonies at NAVSEA HQ and in the National Capitol Region.
• Provide photography support of all Command Leadership sponsored events to include occasional evening and weekend events. Provide selected photos for all Command events within the same day to the Government. All photographs shall be archived within one business day on Government storage devices
• Photographs should be properly cropped, edited, and captioned with appropriate Visual Information Reference Identification Numbers, according to DoD guidelines to support archival and search/find of specific photo events on Government furnished equipment for use in other Command public affairs products.
• Maintain a centralized calendar of upcoming events as directed by the Government.
• Provide proposal for development of Commanding officer's "scrapbook" or other archive within 90 days of a new NAVSEA report date and produce the outgoing NAVSEA Scrapbook within 30 days of the NAVSEA Commander's change of Command and/or retirement, to include imagery from major command events, milestones and as directed by the NAVSEA public affairs officer during the Commander's tenure.
• Products produced would be displayed on command/enterprise digital signage network, social media sites and command's internal and external websites.
• Content will be created in collaboration and as directed by the Government representative.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain security clearance and clearing necessary background checks/assessments as required. Active high-level Security Clearance will be required, and current Security Clearance is desired.
• Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Photojournalism or related field.
• Required Experience: Minimum of 4 years of photography experience.
• Desired Attributes include:
• Knowledge of NAVSEA, Congress, the Navy and Department of Defense.
• Knowledge of and adherence to DoD guidelines.
