JOB SUMMARY:

The Phone Cashier position works within ENSTAR's Credit and Customer Services Department. The primary purpose of this position is to accept payments via the phone from ENSTAR's customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Accept and process credit card or debit card payments over the phone.

  • Perform courier tasks.

  • Perform clerical tasks such as handling mail (address changes, handling returned mail, as well as sorting, opening, and distributing mail), sorting, filing, addressing and stuffing envelopes by hand, conveying messages, making copies, and opening and entering payments.

  • Serve as back up Switchboard Operator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • One year customer service experience, positive customer service attitude.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to type 50+ wpm; ten-key calculator by touch.

  • Professional telephone etiquette.

  • Professional personal appearance.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the ENSTAR's Driving Policy.

  • Ability to pass a drug, credit, background, past employment and driving record check.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to confidentially process and maintain data with attention to detail.

  • Basic cashiering knowledge and ability to effectively and accurately perform related tasks.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.

  • Ability to effectively and professionally assist customers in a demanding, multi-task environment.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate policies and procedures to others.

  • Ability to use general office equipment such as computer, cash machine, fax, phone, copier, etc.

  • Strong customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service, follow-up, value added service, one-call resolution, and customer appreciation.

  • Ability to convey information clearly, effectively, and professionally.

  • Active listening skills; attentiveness when listening to others to understand, ask appropriate questions, etc.

  • Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) quickly and correctly.

Position Summary: The Branch Supervisor will directly manage assigned branch staff; and, collaborate with the Assistant Branch Manager to achieve efficient operation of all branch activities with emphasis on employee engagement with the Bank Transformation process. This position will originate and close consumer loans as well as sell/service products and services, if properly licensed, available through Northrim Investment Services (NIS). Job Functions and Responsibilities * Coordinate branch workflow and staff schedules. * Perform, review and approve over-the-counter general and complex paying and receiving transactions. * Monitor and direct teller staff delivery of Superior Customer First Service and provide on-going coaching/training to support Bank Transformation. * Has a comprehensive knowledge of all Northrim deposit products and services, and a basic understanding of those offered by Northrim's affiliates to make effective referrals. * Identify cross-sell opportunities to gain and retain banking relationships. * Assist customers, resolve problems and manage the customer experience in order to consistently exceed customer expectations. * Responsible for opening and closing branch. * Prepare performance evaluations for assigned employees and provide input into all other branch staff performance evaluations. * Originate and close consumer loans. * If properly licensed, sell and service products/services offered through NIS. * Control currency and coin in a responsible manner within security guidelines and drawer limits * Ensure all branch cash drawers balance daily within Northrim Transaction Error/Outage Guidelines. * Maintain regular and predictable attendance. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education * HSD or equivalent Work Experience * Four (4) years of customer services and sales experience to include: * Two (2) years of related financial institution experience. * One year of supervisory experience preferred. * Evidence of progressive responsibility in related position preferred. * Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that fulfill the requirements of the position will be considered. * Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience. * For internal promotion to this position, must be meeting/exceeding assigned sales and service goals for current position.
