About the Job


  • College degree (BA or BS) in Healthcare, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or other highly related field is required.

  • At least three years' experience in healthcare, specifically managed care. Experience in health care contract negotiations preferred.

  • Prior experience working with all levels of organization including senior management and physicians.

  • Strong project management, quantitative and analytical skills particularly in projecting and monitoring payer net revenue on the basis of existing revenue and cost data.

  • Strong PC skills required.

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Capable of working toward specific strategic objectives and managing deadlines.

  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

40 Hours Monday-Friday

About the Job QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience Required: * At least one (1) year of experience in a medical practice or managed care organization in a related role. * Plus either: * An Associates Degree and an additional two (2) years of directly relevant experience. * A Bachelors Degree in a related field * Four (4) years of experience in a medical experience in a medical practice or managed care organization in a related role with at least two (2) of those years in either referrals or data analysis. * Experience with Microsoft Office and an EMR system Preferred: * Work experience involving data analysis and data presentations. Other Skills/Knowledge: Required: * Ability to communicate orally and in writing, with empathy * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Knowledge of Medical Terminology * Strong competency in Excel and on the internet. * Ability to proofread documents and check for accuracy * For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team.
