Weekend commitment

Job Summary

Provide phlebotomy services for assigned patients. Responsible for performing a variety of tasks involving specimen collecting, processing, sorting, data entry, record retrieval and responding to general inquiries regarding phlebotomy services. Deliver specimens to a lab for testing.

Key Activities

  • Obtain blood specimens by capillary or venipuncture technique using appropriate technique from patients of any age or population. Follow proper procedures for special collections. Deliver specimens to a lab for testing.

  • Track down missing information and communicate with doctors' offices to clarify conflicts in order information.

  • Distribute kits and written instructions on the proper specimen collection for all types of specimens including stool, sputum, urine, and 24-hour urine containers.

  • Appropriate disposal of sharps containers and any other items coming in contact with patient specimens

  • Use ISTAT Machine to obtain samples

  • Communicate effectively in writing, verbally and electronically

We seek a dedicated individual who will be responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment, such as a frontend loader, excavator, forklift, sweeper, used at the Braintree Transfer Station located in Braintree, MA, to receive, stockpile, process, prepare for transport and load municipal solid waste into transfer trailers, or other similar vehicles. Principal Responsibilities: * Operate various pieces of equipment and machinery to facilitate the receipt, stockpile, process and load municipal solid waste into transfer trailers. Candidate must good solid communication skills and must be flexible to work different shifts. Position will also require candidate to complete special projects and duties assigned by supervisor and any other related duties. •Maintain effective equipment checks (pre and post operations). •Ability to perform equipment maintenance and repairs as instructed by maintenance department and transfer station supervisory personnel. •Obtain information regarding material entering transfer station by greeting customers, visually confirming contents are appropriate for the transfer station. • Follow and enforces all required Covanta safety policies and procedures. • Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). •Must be able to deal with public effectively and without controversy. •Provide instructions to customer for proper location of disposal on tipping floor. Thorough knowledge of the waste ban procedures and perform inspections effectively and accurately in accordance with state mandated Waste Ban Regulations. Perform facility inspection checks assigned by Transfer Station Supervisor.
