The Phlebotomist Lead is an experienced phlebotomist who has demonstrated their ability to perform all job requirements in all phlebotomy areas, has extensive knowledge of phlebotomy skills and operations, strong proficiency in laboratory orderable and performable, specimen processing and accessioning specimen workflows, shows proficiency in LIS functionality, will provide troubleshooting and scheduling staff. The Phlebotomist Lead must be able to collaboratively work with all clinical members of the BDCH system as well as all external reference laboratory clients.
High School diploma or equivalent and two or more years of phlebotomy experience required; clinical training in a formal phlebotomy program and certification desired. This position is required to regularly travel and may require the use of a personal vehicle. In order to be eligible for this position you must meet the minimum driving standards established by BDCH.
