ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic Tarboro combines local doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who have years of experience caring for the community, with a brand new state-of the-art medical facility offering integrated, convenient and patient-centered care.

Position Summary

The Phlebotomist is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to all patients, visitors, and employees of our facility. You will perform certain clinical tasks that has been approved for you to perform through an educational or clinical check-off by a qualified member of the staff to include specimen collection and patient education. In addition to this, the phlebotomist is responsible for all clerical duties associated with maintaining a well-organized laboratory.

Minimum Requirements

• Employee must have a High School Diploma, GED or Higher

• Must be able to communicate effectively

• Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy program with at least two years of experience preferred and ASCP or equivalent certification eligible

• Computer skills include basic data entry and word processing

Preferred:

• Two years secretarial experience in a medical facility

• Excel, Powerpoint, and Access experience

• 20 hours a week

• Department Hours: Monday

• Friday (8 am

• 5 pm)
